Students must pass EMR curriculum with an 80% or better, and complete clinical hours and skills testing in order to become certified as an EMR. EMR is the foundational course in order to become EMT certified.

Students should be aware this course includes sensitive and/or graphic material.

Students are expected to pay an annual program fee and may be required to purchase equipment and clothing for personal use. Instructors work with business and industry partners to offer the best possible price on materials and equipment. Each program's fees will be available at orientation in May. Boulder TEC works closely with students who demonstrate financial need.

The Language Arts Graduation Performance Measure is available for completion of college credit or completion of the six industry certifications listed below:

• American Red Cross (ARC): EMR , Supplemental Oxygen, Bloodborne Pathogens, Epipen and Anaphylaxis, Basic Life Support (BLS)
• American Red Cross(ARC): First Aid for Severe Trauma(FAST)
