NEW PROGRAM IN 2024-2025

Is the kitchen calling you?

This pre-apprenticeship program from the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and Colorado Restaurant Foundation allows students to complete both ProStart years 1 & 2 to prepare students for a youth apprenticeship. Through a partnership with Metropolitan State University, students will also complete coursework in Food Science that can lead to a Culinary Arts Certificate. If you want to earn your ServSafe certifications and work in our brand new teaching kitchen alongside BVSD’s School Food Project, this is the program for you!

 


  • Concurrent Enrollment: MSU
  • Industry Certification: OSHA for Culinary, Servsafe Food Handler’s, Servsafe Allergen, ProStart National Certificate of Achievement (optional), Workforce readiness certification 
  • Work-Based Learning: 2nd semester 35 WBL hours
