Emergency Medical Technician

This program provides students with core knowledge and skills to act as a first responder that provides life-saving care in pre-hospital, emergency settings. Students will study EMT fundamentals as well as trauma response. Students who complete this program will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) examination. After successfully completing the NREMT exam, you can apply to the state for certification to work as an EMT in Colorado.

*This program is for SENIORS ONLY. Due to age requirements for clinical hours, students must be 18 by March 1st each school year.

 


  • Concurrent Enrollment: FRCC
  • Industry Certification: NREMR, NREMT, AHA BLS
  • Work-Based Learning: ~30 Clinical Hours
