Are you interested in the science and medicine behind sports?

 Learn to become an athletic trainer, physical therapist, sports physician or any of 30 related medical professions that work with athletes. Through hands-on practice of first aid, emergency procedures, and care and rehabilitation, students get an opportunity to explore the health and science behind sports. Students study multiple aspects of sports medicine including nutrition, psychology, and anatomy and physiology. They will also practice skills like prevention and care of athletic injuries, rehabilitation skills, taping and wrapping techniques, first aid, and therapeutic exercise. 

 


  • Concurrent Enrollment: FRCC
  • Industry Certification: AHA BLS, NASM Personal Trainer, American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) Physical Therapy Technician/Aide Certification (PTTC)
